Humana Inc. and National Broadcasting Co. agreed to a settlement of the trademark infringement lawsuit brought by Louisville, Ky.-based Humana against NBC seeking to enjoin the use of the name “Ecumena” on the “St. Elsewhere” television series. NBC and MTM Productions, the series producer, have agreed with Humana to eliminate certain references to “Ecumena” and have agreed to a disclaimer procedure. They have further agreed to ultimately eliminate the name “Ecumena” from the “St. Elsewhere” series.
