Two masked gunmen robbed the manager of a Marina del Rey restaurant early Monday, leaving him handcuffed in the kitchen and taking more than $11,000, authorities said.

Robert Healy, manager of Charlie Brown’s Restaurant at 4445 Admiralty Way, was counting the day’s receipts in the vault at 12:45 a.m. when two men wearing ski masks burst in, sheriff’s Sgt. Tim Richards said.

One of the men held a four-inch, blue steel revolver. The other had a four-inch chrome semiautomatic handgun. They produced a white cloth bag, Richards said, and told Healy to “hand over the money.”

Healy freed himself after 35 minutes by prying open the handcuffs with a knife.
