Ram Players Reaffirm Union Support

After another team meeting on Tuesday, the Rams vowed again to support the union and will return to the picket line today.

“We’ll remain on strike until something is done,” Ram player representative Carl Ekern said.

Forty of the 45 striking Rams attended Tuesday’s two-hour meeting. Among the missing was Eric Dickerson, but don’t expect the running back to cross the picket line.

“Eric says he’s not going in until his offensive line goes in,” defensive end Gary Jeter said. “And that’s real smart.”

Ekern said the Rams will meet again today.
