We take objection to Clarke Taylor’s blurb in Outtakes Oct. 11 that “At Risk” could become “the first major movie to deal with AIDS.”

The first major movie about AIDS was already written--for television--by us. It is called “An Early Frost.”

And from the Writers Guild of America, referring to an Oct. 18 letter from Ron Cowen and Daniel Lipman who said they wrote the Emmy-winning TV movie about AIDS, “An Early Frost”: “The writing credits as determined by the WGA, West, are: Teleplay by Ron Cowen & Daniel Lipman; story by Sherman Yellen.”
