One of television’s most successful sitcoms will be raised from the grave, as it were. The Munsters will be brought back to life in a first-run syndication, half-hour series with a new cast for the 1988 season. “The Munsters Today,” being produced by the Arthur Co., has already been given a 24-episode order, with an option for 48 more. The new stars of Mockingbird Lane’s most infamous residence are John Schuck as Herman Munster and Lee Meriwether as his wife Lily, with Howard Morton as Grandpa and Jason Marsden as little Eddie. “The Munsters Today” will be distributed by MCA Television. The original black-and-white series is still available in syndication.
