Problem of Stray Dogs Cited in Mexico Study

This capital city’s 2.6 million stray dogs have contributed to the spreading of 57 diseases in the city of 19 million people, a National University study said Thursday.

The medical school at the university said that in poor and heavily populated areas, stray dogs outnumber humans 16 to 10. Their littering contributes to spreading diseases in areas where people already lack hygiene.
