21 Colombia Stowaways Detained in Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica —
Twenty-one Colombian youths who stowed away aboard a bauxite freighter hoping to enter the United States were being held on board ship pending their return to Colombia, immigration officials said.
The youths, ages 16 to 20, stowed away at Barranquilla, Colombia, on the Sungreen, a Panamanian-registered freighter. The ship landed Thursday at Port Esquivel, about 25 miles west of Kingston, and were confined to the ship.
