Terra Incognita, a 25-1 shot, grabbed the early lead and held on for a 2 1/2-length victory in the $162,455 Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland. The favorite, Over All, finished last in the field of eight after stopping suddenly on the turn in the 1 1/16th-mile race. The 2-year-old filly “quit trying,” according to jockey Angel Cordero.
Theatrical, with a strong stretch drive under Pat Day, scored a 2 1/2-length victory over Le Glorieux in the $351,000 Man o’ War Stakes at Aqueduct.
