Dataproducts Reports Loss for 2nd-Quarter
Dataproducts reported a loss of $6.7 million, or 32 cents a share, for its second quarter that ended Sept. 26, contrasted with a profit of $2.7 million, or 13 cents a share, in the corresponding period a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter declined 5%, to $80.6 million.
For the six-month period, the Woodland Hills maker of computer printers reported a loss of $6.4 million, or 30 cents a share, contrasted with a $5.2-million profit, or 25 cents a share, last year. Revenue in the six months dropped 6%, to $158.1 million.
The company attributed its second-quarter loss to costs involved in its acquisition of Imaging Solutions in July.
