Local News in Brief : Horse Owner Pleads Guilty

Share

A man accused of neglecting 43 horses penned in a remote Saugus canyon has pleaded guilty to 90 counts of animal cruelty.

Los Angeles County animal control officers earlier ordered Gerald Ingle, 67, to trim his horses’ badly overgrown hoofs and clean up their manure-filled pens and stalls. Since then, he has complied with those orders, officials said.

Ingle could receive up to two years in the county jail and a $2,000 fine at his scheduled Dec. 18 sentencing in Newhall Municipal Court, a prosecutor said.
