A Soviet Aeroflot passenger jet carrying 162 people made an emergency landing in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk shortly after takeoff because its landing gear was stuck, the official Tass news agency reported. No injuries were reported in the incident, the third such report since July. The TU-154 plane had just taken off from Krasnoyarsk for Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Soviet Far East when the crew found out the landing gear would not retract. The plane circled the Krasnoyarsk airport for several hours, presumably to burn off fuel, before it came in for a landing, Tass said.
