Delahoussaye Rides Irish Lord’s Miss to Two-Length Victory at Santa Anita
Irish Lord’s Miss overhauled Windy Triple K. in the late going Thursday to win the $33,000 Racing Fans Club of America Purse by two lengths before a crowd of 14,717 at Santa Anita’s Oak Tree meeting.
Irish Lord’s Miss, the 3-2 favorite ridden by Eddie Delahoussaye, ran 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:163/5 and paid $5, $2.60 and $2.40. The victory was worth $18,150.
Windy Triple K., ridden by Antonio Castanon, finished 3 1/2 lengths in front of Sunlight Miss and returned $3 and $2.40. Sunlight Miss, ridden by Fernando Toro, paid $2.80.
Delahoussaye was aboard three winners Thursday. In addition to Irish Lord’s Miss, they were Invierno ($7.80) in the second race and El Tremblor ($5.80) in the third.
