Famous ex-husband Peter Holm lost his appeal in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday for $80,000 a month from former wife Joan Collins. Superior Court Judge Frances Rothschild, indicating she didn’t believe Holm’s excuse that he was ill when he didn’t show up for hearings last month, refused to reconsider the issue and denied his motion. Outside court, Holm’s attorney, Frank Steinschriber, said that although the spousal support request had been dismissed, he could file a new motion with the same figures if Holm so desires. But when asked if Holm would do that, Steinschriber shrugged and said, “Oh, I don’t know.” Despite Monday’s ruling, Collins’ attorney, Marvin Mitchelson, said another hearing was scheduled for Jan. 22, when a final division of the couple’s property--including a house in the South of France, paintings and furniture--will be argued.
