City Restaurant of Los Angeles and Caroline’s comedy nightclub of New York City are sponsoring a dinner and night of comedy to benefit the Scleroderma Research Foundation. It will be held Nov. 16 from 7:30 p.m. at City Restaurant, 180 S. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles.
Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken, owners and chefs of the restaurant, will present a six-course dinner. Paul Provenza will host the evening of comedy, joined by fellow comedians Richard Belzer, Judy Tenuta and others. The event is expected to raise about $30,000.
Scleroderma is a degenerative and life-threatening disease for which there is currently no cure. Nearly 300,000 Americans are afflicted with the disease, the majority being women between the ages of 30 and 50. Money raised from this and similar events around the country will be used to help find a cure.
Tickets are $250 per person. For additional information: (213) 938-4802.
