Spock Out of Hospital With New Pacemaker

BOSTON —
Dr. Benjamin Spock, child-care expert and political activist, was released from the hospital Friday with a pacemaker installed to speed up a heart rate that may have caused a fainting spell, officials said.
Spock, 84, had been hospitalized a week ago after fainting in the lobby of the Copley Plaza Hotel.
