Cat Slaughter

Buried in the State Briefs (Part I, Oct. 29) was an incredible paragraph describing the killing of 50-60 cats by four state prison guards, who allegedly threw the cats into a closed room with a pit bull. Not only is the incident horrible and unbelievable, but the guards apparently have the gall to appeal their “punishment” of transfer and reduced pay.
It seems so tragic to me that these people were not fired, let alone escaping prison for such a reprehensible act. It’s just another example of the inmates running the asylum.
Something must be done to these animal killers.
