Perceptronics Reports 41% Increase for 2nd Quarter

Perceptronics said its second-quarter profit rose 41% to $461,185, or 13 cents a share, contrasted with $327,269, or 9 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue jumped 65% to $13.7 million, contrasted with $8.3 million a year earlier.

The Woodland Hills defense company attributed higher earnings and revenue to a $67-million supply contract with the Army for simulators used to teach troops how to operate tanks.

For the six-month period, Perceptronics reported a profit of $1,016,136, or 28 cents a share, on revenue of $29.2 million. A year earlier, the company earned $578,682, or 15 cents a share, on revenue of $16.6 million.
