Media Systems Technology of Irvine introduced a line of products that copy 3.5-inch, 5.25-inch and 8-inch diskettes for IBM personal computers and compatible machines. . . . Computer Consoles, a company based in Waltham, Mass., that manufactures computer systems at a plant in Irvine, announced a five-year distribution contract with Standard Telephones and Cables of Australia that is expected to have a value of up to $25 million. . . . CalComp, a unit of Lockheed Corp., has been awarded a contract valued at nearly $1.5 million to supply 30 of its Vistagraphic computer display terminals to Smitec’s San Joaquin Division in Atwater. . . . EECO Inc. of Santa Ana said it has received several contracts with an annual value exceeding $10 million. Two of those contracts are with Qume Corp. of San Jose and Tandon Corp.’s subsidiary in the Netherlands. . . . Advanced Digital of Huntington Beach has announced a computer enhancement board, the Transformer 2, that is supposed to allow memory, graphics and controller cards that operate on IBM’s PC and PC-AT models and compatible machines to work with IBM’s new Personal System/2 models.
