Four Hurt in Crash: Four women were seriously injured when their car struck a light pole on West Coast Highway near Newport Boulevard about 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Police said driver Mary Frances Davison, 79, of Laguna Hills, and passengers Delia Diana Golenor, 79, and Ruth Cummins, 70, both of Laguna Hills, and Rita Collins Mordy, 82, of Indian Wells were injured. Police said a Mercedes-Benz containing the four women was westbound when “for unknown reasons” the vehicle veered to the right and struck the light pole.
