Woman Dies as Road Sign Struck by Car Fells Her

SOMERS, N.Y. —
A woman who was standing beside an icy highway was killed by a road sign flung through the air after it was hit by an out-of-control car, state police said. The woman, who was standing by the road because she had been in a minor collision, died of head injuries.
