Sixty-five countries have confirmed that they will attend the 1988 Olympic Games at Seoul, South Korea, Sept. 17-Oct. 2. There are no Communist countries among the 65, however.
The International Olympic Committee sent invitations to a record 167 countries. The deadline for acceptance is Jan. 17.
South Korea, which was awarded the Games in 1981, has yet to settle a bitter dispute with North Korea over staging the Olympics.
