“A bloody nightmare” is how George Harrison described working with Sean Penn and Madonna on “Shanghai Surprise,” one of last year’s bigger box-office bombs. Harrison, the former-Beatle-turned-film producer, told Woman magazine that he considered himself lucky to have broken even financially on the project. “We got the wrong script, the wrong director and the wrong stars,” he said, calling the Penns “pretty bad.” Harrison had remained characteristically quiet about the project and his relationship with the bad boy-girl duo until this time.
