Business conditions in the electronics industry in the third quarter of 1987 were either excellent or good, according to more than 70% of 720 high-tech chief executive officers responding to an American Electronics Assn. semi-annual survey. This compares to 57.6% of 674 respondents making the same evaluations in the 1987 first-quarter survey. About 5% of the third-quarter respondents said business is poor, compared to 11.5% in the first-quarter survey.
