Cargo Rocket Leaves Soviet Space Station
A Soviet cargo rocket was unhooked from the space station Mir after replenishing it with fuel and drinking water and helping to adjust its flight path, the official Tass news agency reported Wednesday.
Tass said the Progress 25 rocket separated from the manned station late Tuesday.
“With the help of the propulsion system of the cargo craft, the trajectory of the flight of the complex (Mir) was adjusted,” Tass said. It did not elaborate.
Tass said the undocking of the rocket from Mir was monitored by specialists at the ground control center and by the two Mir cosmonauts, Yuri Romanenko and Alexander Alexandrov.
