George Caras, 59, chairman of the board of the three-branch Maritime Bank of California and a 34-year partner in the Century City law firm that bears his name. A former president and board member of St. Sophia Cathedral in Beverly Hills, he was a member of the Trousdale Estates Architectural Review Committee and a magna cum laude graduate of USC. In Century City on Monday of an apparent heart attack.
