Jack Lloyd, president, also has been named to the new post of chief executive of Nellcor Inc., Hayward. Robert S. Smith, previously chief financial officer, was named to the new position of executive vice president and chief operating officer. Lloyd and Smith, two of the four founders of the firm, will co-manage operations from the newly created office of the president. Michael P. Downey, previously vice president-finance and corporate controller, will replace Smith as chief financial officer. Nellcor designs, manufactures and markets monitoring instruments for patient safety and management in hospitals.
