Posters Win Prizes
Fifth-graders Jason Loyola of Carson and Andy Schrader of Torrance each has won a $100 prize for designing water conservation posters.
“We encouraged children to discover the importance of water as a natural resource and how it has such a strong impact on our lives,” said Chuck Porter, president of Dominguez Water Corp., which sponsored the contest. The company sells water to Torrance and Carson.
Loyola goes to Dolores Street School in Carson. Schrader attends Towers Elementary School in Torrance.
