The House of Representatives by an overwhelming vote of 399 to 17 gave approval to raise the Veterans Administration to the status of a cabinet department. The Senate is expected to follow with a positive vote.
This decision by Congress to give our veterans a cabinet level is most welcome to the 27.6 million veterans in the U.S. They are most deserving of having a secretary of veteran’s affairs.
