Thanksgiving Closings

All municipal and federal offices in San Diego will be closed Thursday in observance of Thanksgiving Day, while San Diego County and state offices will be closed both Thursday and Friday.

All banks will be closed Thursday but open Friday.

All schools and universities will be closed Thursday and Friday.

There will be no mail delivery on Thursday, but mail will be delivered and post offices will be open Friday.

All San Diego public libraries will be closed Thursday, and metered parking throughout the city will not be enforced. City libraries will be open Friday. County-operated libraries will be closed both Thursday and Friday.

Municipal and Superior courts will be closed both Thursday and Friday. Federal courthouses will be closed Thursday but open Friday.

Trash will not be collected in San Diego on Thursday, and trash pickup will be a day late the rest of the week. All city landfills will be closed Thursday.

All city-operated recreation centers, swimming pools and fishing lakes will be closed Thursday. City-operated golf courses, except those at Balboa Park and Torrey Pines, also will be closed for the holiday.
