Desert Winds Likely to Mar Otherwise Pleasant Weather

Share

Gusty desert winds should be the only thing to mar an otherwise pleasant Thanksgiving Day, forecasters said Wednesday.

The National Weather Service said north-to-northeast winds of up to 40 m.p.h. are expected, prompting the issuance of wind advisories for local passes and canyons.

The dry Santa Ana gusts, caused by a high-pressure area over Nevada, should decrease by Friday, forecasters added.
