Gardena will establish a citizens study committee to solicit community recommendations for capital improvements to Rowley Park and the Civic Center.
About $2 million from the sale of tax-exempt bonds is earmarked for improvements at the park, at the northeast corner of Van Ness Avenue and 135th Street and for the Civic Center complex on Gardena Boulevard.
The study committee will consist of 10 Hollypark residents, with each City Council member appointing two members. Residents may contact City Hall for application information at (213) 217-9500.
