Rome Gets Rain, Hail

ROME —
Torrential rain and hail flooded streets and snarled traffic throughout Rome on Thursday, and the capital’s Leonardo da Vinci Airport was closed for two hours when hailstones covered all its runways. Power cables were knocked out in some suburbs, and police said a youth was struck by lightning and taken to a hospital.
