Al Kovac has been promoted to the position of vice president, sales, for Cerritos-based Sherwood, a manufacturer of audio components and systems. Kovac succeeds Charles Harper, who is leaving the company in January. The company also made four other promotions to new positions: Tom Shaeffer to director; Y.K. Cho to executive vice president; Jay Suh to vice president of operations, and Andy Park to district sales manager. In addition, Steffen Meeks joined Sherwood in the newly created post of marketing administrator.
