Pasadena : Rose Bowl Use Limit Urged
The Arroyo Seco Policy Task Force has recommended that the city limit use of the Rose Bowl to 12 major events a year.
The 103,000-seat stadium is now used eight to 10 times a year, but events are approved on a case-by-case basis with no limit, and residents have sometimes complained about noise.
The citizens committee, charged with examining the policies and practices governing the use of the Rose Bowl and Arroyo Seco, also recommended regulating noise more strictly, charging for Rose Bowl parking and providing free parking in distant areas to relieve traffic near the stadium.
