Prompt Swedes Faulted for Their Tardy Trains

STOCKHOLM —
Sweden’s reputation for efficiency was dented Wednesday by a government survey of 11 countries that showed that only Italian trains are late more often than Swedish ones.
The survey of train punctuality found that more than one in four trains arrive late in Sweden, which prides itself on its conscientious work ethic.
