After two years on the air, Los Angeles Spanish-language TV station KVEA, Channel 52, has matched the ratings of its only Latino TV rival, 25-year-old KMEX, Channel 34. KVEA captured 50% of the weekday Latino prime-time audience during Arbitron’s Oct. 28-Nov. 24 ratings sweeps. The ratings represented a 13% increase over last year.
