Initiative

Contrary to your story (Part I, Nov. 19), Consumers Union has taken no position on the planned initiative on insurance reform announced by Access to Justice and others.

The language of the initiative has not been finalized and it would be premature to support something we haven’t seen. We do applaud the effort to give the voters a chance to reform the insurance business by placing this question on the ballot.
