Voters in Seychelles Elect New Parliament

VICTORIA, Seychelles —
Voters in the Indian Ocean state of the Seychelles have elected a new, four-year Parliament.
Electoral officers said that 28,410 voters, or 66% of those eligible, cast their ballots Sunday to elect 23 members of the People’s Assembly. In the last election in 1983, 59% voted.
