Carver County, Minn., Attorney Mike Fahey said he has ruled out felony charges in his investigation of allegations that Minnesota Viking player Keith Millard struck a man and woman last week at a nightclub in Chanhassen, Minn.

But there is still a chance the 6-foot 5-inch, 260-pound defensive tackle could be charged with misdemeanor assault in connection with the incident. An investigation is still under way and a decision on whether to charge Millard, 25, is likely to be made by the end of the week, Fahey said.

Millard was stopped by Carver County sheriff’s deputies after patrons and employees of the club said he had been involved in an altercation there.
