Bell : Pointholder Status Revoked
After a public hearing, the Bell City Council voted unanimously to revoke pointholder status of New York resident Mehdi Tubian, owner of 0.75% of a share in the California Bell Club.
According to James Watson of the Gaming Registration Program, Tubian broke state law by holding a share in the California Bell Club while failing for three years to register with the California Department of Justice.
Documents from the attorney general’s office indicate that authorities have repeatedly tried to contact Tubian, even issuing two arrest warrants, one of which is still in effect.
City Atty. J. Robert Flandrick said that Tubian failed to appear at the public hearing in his defense, and will have to sell his share.
