Thais to Free Prisoners

BANGKOK, Thailand —
The government plans to release 29,843 prisoners, including many foreigners, within the next 60 days as part of the national celebration of the 60th birthday of Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej on Dec. 5, officials said this week. About 1,700 prisoners have already been released.
