Local News in Brief : Cypress : Gunman Flees on Foot After Holding Up S
A gun-wielding man wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses robbed Constitution Federal Savings Thursday and escaped on foot, police said.
Sgt. Jim Weuve said the bandit arrived at the savings and loan, 5900 Ball Road, at 2:30 p.m. and approached one of the tellers. He showed the teller the handgun that had been hidden in his waistband and was given an unknown amount of money before he fled.
Weuve said no getaway vehicle was seen.
