A bandit who authorities believe has robbed 15 banks in San Diego County since July 31, struck again Thursday afternoon.
In the latest robbery, a man wearing jeans and a T-shirt threatened a teller and left with cash from the Southwest Bank branch in Rancho Bernardo.
In most of the robberies, the man has given a note to tellers, warning them he has a gun and ordering them to place money inside a manila envelope. About $25,000 has been stolen altogether, officials said.
The robberies have occurred at various banks, including ones in La Jolla, El Cajon and San Diego.
The bank robber was described as a white male, 25 to 35 years old, about 6 feet tall and 175 pounds, with dark brown curly hair. The robber almost always wears a T-shirt and jeans, and his only disguise has been a pair of dark sunglasses.
Anyone with information is asked to call the local FBI office at 231-1122.
