An Ocean Beach video arcade owner who led Bible studies with adolescent boys pleaded innocent Friday to 22 counts of performing lewd, lascivious acts with two boys.

Ronnie Steckbauer, 34, also denied allegations that he failed to register as a convicted sex offender.

San Diego Municipal Judge Nicholas Kasmimates set bail at $500,000 and scheduled a bail review for Tuesday. A preliminary hearing was set for Dec. 28.

Deputy District Attorney Mary Avery said the charges stem from the alleged molestation of two boys, aged 13 and 14, between September, 1986, and last July.

According to court records, Steckbauer was convicted of child molestation in Los Angeles in 1976 and allegedly failed to register with the police department after moving here.
