Arsenic Poisoning of N.Y. Pair Laid to Private Well

CARMEL, N.Y. —
A couple hospitalized with arsenic poisoning were exposed to the potentially lethal chemical by drinking water from their private well, authorities said Monday. The arsenic has been traced to a nearby Putnam County mine that operated in the mid-19th Century.
