Gordon Practices, but He Isn’t Ready

Guard Lancaster Gordon, who has been recuperating from knee surgery, practiced with the Clippers for the first time this season Monday at the Sports Arena.
Although the Clippers have only 11 healthy players on their roster, club officials say they don’t plan to activate Gordon because he isn’t ready to play. Gordon underwent surgery on his right knee last summer.
Meanwhile, the Clippers will play the Sacramento Kings tonight in Sacramento. The Clippers (7-11) beat the Kings, 98-84, on Dec. 4 at the Sports Arena. Sacramento (4-15) has lost eight consecutive games under new Coach Bill Russell.
If the Clippers win tonight, they will have as many road wins as they had all last season. They are 2-6 on the road, compared to 3-38 last season.
