MENLO PARK, Calif. — Two men were wounded by a shotgun blast as they stood alongside U.S. 101 here Tuesday morning. They were treated at a local hospital and released as investigators sought their assailant.
Kaiser Hospital in Redwood City identified the victims as Nate Branch, 37, of East Palo Alto, and Kiyoshi Charlton, 32. They suffered minor injuries, the report said. The victims had apparently gotten out of their van to check the vehicle’s tires.
“There is no known motive and the investigation is continuing,” said Assistant Police Chief Dominic Peloso.
