4-Year Term Given in Plot to Burn Abortion Clinics

BATON ROUGE, La. —
A man who pleaded guilty to conspiring to burn three abortion clinics in 1985 and 1986 was sentenced Friday to four years in prison. John David Newchurch was ordered by U.S. District Judge Frank Polozola to serve his sentence in a facility that can provide psychiatric care.
