No One Hurt as Jet Lands With Smoke in Cockpit

SAVANNAH, Ga. —
An Eastern Airlines jet with 39 passengers was forced to make an emergency landing at Savannah International Airport when smoke began filling the cockpit. No injuries were reported in the incident Friday. Officials said the problem may have been in the plane’s heating system.
