Commitment to Human Rights

I was told throughout school that we are here by chance, just a product of an impersonal evolutionary process. When I carried that thought to its logical conclusions, then man has no more claim to dignity or personal rights than do the cows in the fields. Hitler acted out this philosophy and the world called it an atrocity. There should be no basis for morals at all, no right or wrong.

Experience, however, has shown that man has dignity and worth but where does it come from? Could it be that there is a God and that we are made in his image?
